Terms and Conditions for Booking

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern all treatments provided by Element Acupuncture. By booking an appointment, you agree to abide by these terms.

2. Booking and Payment

Appointments can be booked directly on the Element Acupuncture website here.

A deposit or full payment is required at the time of booking. Payment plans are available on request.

Accepted payment methods: cash, card, bank transfer.

Gift vouchers are non-refundable and must be used before the expiration date.

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

24-hour notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling.

Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice will incur a 50% fee.

Missed appointments (no-shows) will be charged 100% of the session fee.

If you arrive late, your session time will be shortened to avoid impacting other clients.

4. Health & Safety Considerations

Acupuncture is a complementary therapy and not a substitute for medical treatment.

Clients must disclose any medical conditions, medications, or allergies before treatment.

The practitioner reserves the right to refuse treatment if it is deemed unsafe.

Clients with the following conditions should seek medical advice and inform their GP before acupuncture:

Pregnancy (first trimester or high-risk)

Bleeding disorders or blood-thinning medication

Severe heart conditions

Uncontrolled diabetes or epilepsy

Active infections or skin conditions at the needle insertion site

5. Confidentiality & Data Protection (GDPR Compliance)

All client records are confidential and stored securely in compliance with GDPR regulations.

Your personal data will not be shared without your consent, except where legally required.

By booking, you consent to receiving appointment reminders via SMS, email, or phone.

6. Liability Disclaimer

Acupuncture is generally safe when performed by a licensed professional, but as with any therapy, results may vary.

The practitioner is not liable for unexpected reactions or side effects.

Clients agree to assume full responsibility for their health decisions.

7. Code of Conduct & Right to Refuse Treatment

Clients are expected to behave respectfully towards the practitioner and other clients.

The practitioner reserves the right to refuse or discontinue treatment if:

A client is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

There is inappropriate behaviour or harassment.

The client is deemed unsuitable for treatment.

The client has the right to refuse or discontinue treatment. Treatment time will be charged and the remainder refunded.

8. Changes to Terms & Conditions

These terms may be updated periodically. Clients will be notified of any significant changes.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Irish and EU consumer laws.
