MEDITATION IS PRAYER
Meditation is Prayer.
In the beginning everyone thinks they cannot meditate.
They have too many thoughts.
They don’t ‘get it’ like everyone else.
They can’t sit still.
They don’t have the time.
They are too busy or too stressed.
This was my mindset too.
I kept trying to meditate while believing I couldn’t.
I tried different methods.
I found teachers that come from different lineages of meditation.
And even though I didn’t believe I was doing it correctly,
I knew that somehow I was getting the benefits.
I ask you to remember a time when you prayed,
with all your heart for someone or for yourself.
You found a quiet space,
or you went to place where others pray.
You did this silently,
You went within yourself,
You were present with your pain, grief, joy or desire.
You repeated it many times.
This too is how I changed.
I prayed.
My prayers became my Meditations,
And my Meditations are my Prayers.
